We announce the date for this year’s 14 Ball

Dan Kneen Charitable Fund

We’re excited to announce the date for this year’s 14 Ball, the centerpiece of our fundraising activities. Our popular black-tie event will take place on November 29th at the Comis Hotel. The evening will not only include a sumptuous meal and live musical entertainment but also our famous auction: fourteen lots featuring sought-after items and exclusive experiences that money can’t usually buy!

All proceeds from the auction will go towards both TORQ, a groundbreaking welfare service available to those affected by serious road racing incidents and Rock2Recovery who fulfil the TORQ service by providing a proven and inspiring coaching service. Introduced just in time for this year’s Isle of Man TT Races, TORQ has already helped no fewer than eighteen individuals. Its value was immediately clear, which is why we’ve now expanded the service to include the Southern 100 and the Manx Grand Prix.

TORQ has been made possible through our partnership with Rock2Recovery, who provide specialist change management coaching, that predominantly supports military veterans and emergency services personnel. At the ball, you’ll have the chance to learn more, as Rock2Recovery’s co-founder, Jason Fox, will be speaking at the event.

TT winner Lee Johnston, who recently received help from Rock2Recovery, will also join us. Not only has Lee benefited from their services, but he’s also become a Patron of TORQ, showing his strong support for the initiative.

The creation of TORQ is something we’re extremely proud of, and it’s a true testament to the hard work of our team. Our charity has always been there for those affected by serious racing accidents, but with TORQ, we can help in a more meaningful way. We see TORQ as Dan offering a helping hand to his racing family when they need it most.

Tickets for the 14 Ball will be available for purchase starting October 1st on our new website, torq.im. If you can’t attend or aren’t able to secure a ticket, we’ll also be offering a pre-bidding option on the site.
